The Burleson Elks will open homecoming week with a parade at 6 p.m. today.
The parade will begin with lineup at Hughes Middle School and proceed across Thomas Street, turn right at Summercrest and left at Hilside Drive, and finish by turning left in front of Burleson High School. The parade concludes at Burleson ISD Stadium, where there will be a short community pep rally. Residents are invited to line the streets to watch the parade.
Burleson meets Granbury at 7:30 p.m. Friday in a District 9-5A opener and homecoming at BISD Stadium. This year's queen and king will be crowned in the pregame.
