Burleson ISD students, Richard Romero, pictured, and Claire Beardsley, not pictured, were honored at Mondays’ school board meeting after  representing BISD at Lone Star Leadership Academy camps. Standing with Romero are Burleson ISD Superintendent Dr. Bret Jimerson and Stribling Elementary principal Dr. Jim Calvin. The Lone Star Leadership Academies are Sunday-Friday overnight camps offered throughout the summer for outstanding fourth-eighth graders.
