Third graders who are members of the Talented and Gifted Leadership Camp took part in a service project Sept. 29.
The TAG members helped out at Pathway Church and Harvest House. The event went from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Students worked with the Pathway Church Hunger Solutions for a service learning project in the churches community gardens.
The gardens supply fresh produce to local pantries to help people in need.
The students also worked in the churches Red Bag Program where they sorted canned goods and other non-perishable foods that go to help support local food pantries.
After lunch, the students traveled to Harvest House where they sorted clothes or did age appropriate service projects that help to support local families in need.
